I was absolutely overwhelmed by the level of responses we had for the first aid manual competition. Over 370 – just staggering. Sadly there can only be one winner, so . . . (drum roll, please!) . . . Brenda Lowe, congratulations on your win and I hope you learn a lot from it. (We’ve sent you an email asking for your address, so please look for an email from socialmedia@redcross.org.uk)
For those of you who are upset at not winning, you can buy the first aid manual from our online shop, along with other great first aid products.
The answers to the quiz were: 1) B; 2) A, C; 3) B
A lot of you have mentioned that first aid should be taught in schools. That’s what we think too – that’s why we set up our Life. Live it. campaign. As a result, first aid is now taught as part of the curriculum as well, which is great news indeed. You might be interested in following our two young first aid bloggers, Chris and Fergus. They spend their free time teaching their peers about first aid and road safety.
I’ll be back with more first aid blogs in the near future. Hopefully I won’t be telling you about any mishaps requiring first aid on myself – I’m heading for the Lake District and going fell walking. I don’t want any broken bones to contend with!
