Clearly,good_food_guide_2010-178865 if you’re reading this blog you are someone with exquisite taste – and such delightful people deserve a wee treat every once in a while. That’s why Quizmaster Cox is offering a free copy of The Good Food Guide 2010 (RRP £16.99) – the UK’s oldest and best-selling restaurant guide, published by Which?

Here’s how you win:

1. Take the quiz below.

2. Submit a comment with your answers.

3. Wait until 1 October to find out if you’re the lucky winner. We’ll choose the winner at 4pm, so leave a comment before then.

The quiz

1. Anaphylactic shock is a severe allergic reaction that may occur after exposure to three of following examples. Which is the odd one out?

a. An insect sting.
b. Peanuts.
c. A pint of beer.
d. Certain medications.

2. While cutting the Sunday roast, you accidentally slice into your finger and start bleeding profusely. Which of the following should you not do?

a. Check whether there is an object embedded in the wound.
b. Press on the wound with your hand and secure with a bandage.
c. Find some TCP and use it to clean the wound.
d. Raise your injured limb above the level of the heart.

3. Which of the following is not a first aid myth?

a. Treat nosebleeds by tilting the person’s head back and pinching the nose.
b. You should give conscious heart attack casualties an aspirin tablet to chew.
c. The best thing to put on a burn is butter.
d. If your child is choking, put your fingers in their mouth.
