It’s often the simplest ideas that work best – and our office has come up with a cracker for raising some money during Red Cross Appeal Week in a few weeks. All you need is a wig and a spare three minutes.
For the Wig Wednesday flashmob on Wednesday 6 May, everyone on our floor will pull on a wig and dance like an embarrassing uncle at a wedding to ‘You got the love’ by the Source.
We’re hoping to spread the idea further than just our office though. So if you’d like to join in, just round up a few friends (and wigs) and make sure you set a reminder to get dancing at exactly 12.01 on 6 May.
Now all I’ve got to do is choose that wig…
You can download a pdf of the Wig Wednesday poster for your college or office.
And for 79p you can get the song from iTunes (you’ll need to have iTunes installed on your computer).
To find out more, and give us any money you raise, just call our Appeal Week hotline on 0844 412 2728 or email appealweek@redcross.org.uk
