I believe I can fly

So it seemed like a good idea at the time, do a 10,000ft tandem skydive to raise money for the British Red Cross. Piece of cake.

Well, it would be if I didn’t have a dislike of heights and irrational fear of falling. uk-204-10-190px-2

This Saturday, I will be amongst seven brave people jumping out a plane at an airfield in Salisbury to raise money for the local Red Cross. We were set a target of £395 in sponsorship; this seemed like a daunting target however proved to be easy with the help of Justgiving and Facebook.

I would strongly recommend any budding fundraisers to use both of these. Also don’t be afraid to ask everyone you know, I found sponsorship coming from unlikely corners (my old school teachers!).

Of course, now I have the small matter of actually jumping out this plane.

I might need a push, any volunteers?

Wow, Chris! That’s fantastic! Best of luck. And you might be interested to know that two of our other bloggers have already survived a skydive this year – Izzi and Chloe. In fact, you can hear a phone interview Izzi did with Chloe after she jumped (Chloe was clearly still feeling the rush).
