Christmas is a time for giving and receiving – and you can enjoy both through our wide range of Christmas events and shopping opportunities.
Unique and delicious shopping days
Get inspired by the fashion show at the City of London Christmas market or sample Gluhwein and Bratwurst at the Christmas food market in Guildhall Yard. Across town in Kensington, taste some luxurious but fat-free chocolates at the London Christmas Fair.
Want to try your luck in a raffle for a fabulous hamper? Then visit the Hexham Christmas Fair where you can shop for unique presents.
If you love Christmas carols, join us for songs by the Bedford Prep School and Pilgrims School choirs while browsing the stalls at the Bedfordshire Christmas Fair.
And if all of this Christmas shopping makes you feel hungry, stop into a Co-op store where their range of festive sandwiches will support us to provide health and social care services in the UK.
Fancy dress fun
The whole family can start celebrations in style by dressing as Santa and enjoying a fun run in Didsbury – and you’ll get a medal for your efforts.
Even your dog can join in the fun at beautiful Beckett’s Park in Northampton, where running two laps will raise funds for six local charities, including the British Red Cross.
Stock up on Christmas essentials
Rather choose your festive essentials closer to home? Christmas cards, crackers and gifts are available online at the Red Cross Gift Shop.
You can also have all the fun of eBay shopping while supporting our services through the British Red Cross eBay shop.
Celebrate at our shops on Red Thursday
Your local Red Cross charity shop will have bargains on everything from books to baby gear. Our range of specialist shops can also help you with bigger purchases including designer clothes and furniture.
And if you’d like to give your time, volunteers are always valued during this busy season.
Red Thursday is our special shopping event on 26 November. As an antidote to the more commercial Black Friday, many of our shops will offer discounts, late openings and special events. Have fun getting your Christmas shopping done early while supporting a good cause (and avoid getting elbowed in the ribs by the crowds).
