If you’re like me, the idea of running a marathon is something akin to being tarred and feathered. Jumping out of a plane sounds even worse.
So when friends and family tell me they’re taking on one of our fundraising challenges, I’m usually more than happy to dig into my pocket and support them because the main thought in my head is “Better you than me.”

So it seemed like a good idea at the time, do a 10,000ft tandem skydive to raise money for the British Red Cross. Piece of cake.
Well, it would be if I didn’t have a dislike of heights and irrational fear of falling. 
This Saturday, I will be amongst seven brave people jumping out a plane at an airfield in Salisbury to raise money for the local Red Cross. We were set a target of £395 in sponsorship; this seemed like a daunting target however proved to be easy with the help of Justgiving and Facebook.
